Hi there, I'm Amber Chen. I was born and raised in Maryland, just outside the D.C. area. I graduated from Cornell University and spent six years living and working in New York City as a frontend engineer at Lyft and Goldman Sachs. The past year I took a sabbatical and spent my time traveling the world. I visited Indonesia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Japan. Recently, I decided to make my home base here in Indonesia, and I am now open to remote opportunities both full-time and part-time based out of Asia.
In my free time I also like to do freelance photography. When I'm not behind the computer or camera, you can find me surfing, playing volleyball, attending concerts, or soaking up the sun by the ocean.
